The hotel had an amazing location close to the river, in a rural and peaceful area. The staff was welcoming, and the breakfast was fabulous. Parking was free, and the hotel facilities were great.
Nothing negative to say.

Chateau De Vallagon is a hidden gem in the heart of the Loire Valley. With its excellent value for money, you can experience the luxury of a 16th-century chateau without breaking the bank. The hotel's attention to detail is evident in the immaculately clean rooms that are full of character. You'll find all the basic amenities you need, including rooms with a good-sized wardrobe and a bathtub for a relaxing soak after a day of exploring. What truly sets this hotel apart is its location, close to Montrichard where you can visit a lovely local market and enjoy the beautiful views down to the nearby river and forest. And if you're interested in visiting Chenonceau castle, it's just a short distance away.
All was perfect, nothing to improve.

This hotel offers great value for money with its affordable prices and attention to detail. The staff is friendly and goes above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. The basic amenities provided are satisfactory, and the rooms are spacious with a good-sized wardrobe. I particularly enjoyed the breakfast, which had a variety of options to choose from, including fresh fruit. The location of this hotel is also ideal, with Montrichard's lovely local market not too far away. Additionally, it is conveniently close to attractions such as Chenonceau castle, the nearby river, and the forest.
All was well during our stay.

This hotel is really a hidden gem in the beautiful Loire valley, surpassing other nearby options. It offers easy access to the motorway and is situated close to a charming town with local amenities. The park and gardens of the hotel are absolutely stunning, and they even have a lovely outdoor pool to enjoy. The rooms may be simple, but they have a lot of character and are exceptionally clean. They lack modern amenities like television and phones, but that adds to the charm. Plus, the rooms offer a nice view and a good-sized wardrobe.
All was just perfect, nothing to improve.

The location is decent, tucked down from the forest, by the river and not far from Chenonceau castle, make it a good base to explore. There's also a lovely nearby local market in Montrichard to wonder about. The room is spacious and clean, and the breakfast has a pretty good selection of food. There is even an onsite swimming pool which is great to swim in during summer.
The exterior of the building looks a bit worn out and could use a fresh coat of paint.

Spent Easter at a beautiful old castle in the Loire Valley. The outside of the building was a real sight to behold with stunning gardens and a delightful swimming pool. The location could not be better with plenty of nearby castles and towns to visit. The service provided was excellent, with accommodating and helpful staff always willing to offer suggestions on places to eat and see.
The interior was a bit dated and tired. It could benefit from some refurbishing or redecoration.

We enjoyed our city break at a 16th-century gem in the Loire Valley. The service was professional and the hosts were warm and friendly. The location was convenient to many famous castles, making it easy to explore the area. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and very authentic. the food offered was delicious, truly immersed in the French culture.
It seemed awkwardly placed and didn't feel like it was located in the countryside. The bathroom was quite small and the room was not as spacious as we expected.
